Taitara Mahi – District Development: Project and Business Support Coordinator

The Hastings District Council has recently reviewed how it approaches and manages its growth and development activities. This has culminated in the establishment of the Growth and Development team, who lead growth and development work across Council. Working within the Chief Executive’s Office, you’ll be part of a team providing strategic leadership across growth and spatial planning, urban development and housing enablement, and long-term planning that supports a sustainable, prosperous future for our district.
In this dynamic and trusted support role, you’ll work closely with the Director – Growth and Development and wider Growth and Development Team, providing proactive schedule and correspondence management, providing project support, and ensuring meetings, reporting, and follow-ups run smoothly and professionally. You’ll be a key connector across Council teams and with external partners—including iwi, developers, consultants and government agencies—helping to keep critical work programmes on track through strong coordination, accurate documentation, and high-quality communication.
