Taitara Mahi - Collections and Content Librarian
Permanent Full-Time 

We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Collections and Content Librarian with a can-do attitude to join our Collections and Content team working across all our library sites. This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours Tuesday to Saturday across the three Hastings District Libraries facilities.

The purpose of this position is to provide collection and content management services by implementing agreed cataloguing and classification standards to enable effective and efficient access to Library collection materials and information. To contribute to the development, curation and maintenance of digital collections. To provide front-house customer services to the libraries within Hastings District Libraries.

This position would be ideal for someone with outstanding people skills, an eye for detail but an appreciation of the bigger picture, proven productivity and the ability to adapt to a range of systems, devices and platforms.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience in collections work, especially cataloguing and/or acquisitions 
• Experience in a library consortium 
• Experience with digitisation projects, including scanning and digital files
• Strong commitment to customer service
• Initiative and be able to work in a team environment
• Professional library qualification preferred
