Taitara Mahi - Business Support Officer - Health, Safety & Wellbeing
Permanent Part-Time (30 hours per week)

Join our Health, Safety & Wellbeing team and provide the experienced support that helps our people go home safe and well every day. This role reports to the Senior Business Support Officer and works alongside the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Partners and Coordinators. You will be part of a tight-knit group, partnering day to day to coordinate the practical details that keep initiatives moving, owning the day-to-day admin so the rest of the team can focus on high-impact work.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Leading the coordination of HSW inductions and training, including bookings, communications, calendars, providers and attendance tracking.
- Coordinating occupational health and wellbeing appointments end-to-end (pre-employment, monitoring, clinics/vaccinations) and maintain confidential records.
- Managing team in-boxes and service requests, triage and prioritise, track actions and follow up through to completion.
- Maintaining document control, registers and reporting to support audit readiness and compliance (e.g., training renewals and completion reporting).
- Coordinating PPE/first aid/safety supplies, including ordering, receipting, stock control and distribution across sites.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Solid administration experience (not entry level), with a track record of owning processes and coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation, scheduling and follow-up skills. You plan ahead, spot issues early and keep things moving.
- Confidence working with senior leaders, frontline teams and external providers, with clear and professional communication.
- High discretion and sound judgement, comfortable handling sensitive health and employment information.
- Strong digital skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to lift templates, registers and admin systems.
- An NZ Class 1 Driver Licence (current).
