Taitara Mahi - Recycling, Kiosk and Transfer Station Operator
Permanent Full-Time - 45 hours per week
Hastings District Council is looking for an energetic, self-motivated person to join our friendly team at the Henderson Rd Refuse Transfer Station.
The site is a 7 days operation and a rotating day shift is currently in place.
This diverse role offers the opportunity to assist the team and customers coming into site with waste diversion, recycling and education.
There may be the opportunity to also work at the Omarunui Landfill site on a short term rotational basis, as/when required.
Training will be provided in all facets of the operation, including but not limited to:
- Kiosk Operation
- Loader Operation / Load out
- Recycling and Diversion initiatives
- Shop Operation
- Health & Safety
- Site maintenance
Health & Safety and wellbeing is a key driver within our team, so we are looking for that dynamic person who recognises and proactively initiates conversations with the team and customers alike, reporting on improvements that enhance the site operations that keep everyone safe.
