  • Interested in Transportation/Roading as a career;
  • A student who has completed your first semester at polytech/university;
  • Or a Year 13 student considering Engineering (particularly in the Transportation field) as a career

Following successes with our previous Cadets who have moved onto brighter things within the Transportation industry, an incredible opportunity has arisen for someone keen to join a fun and friendly team of highly skilled professionals to train in a well-recognised career path. We want to grow our next generation of Transportation specialists.

This is your opportunity to achieve the highly desirable qualification of New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (NZDE) without the pain of a student loan.

Our cadetship programme entails:  

  • A five year training and development programme.
  • Varied opportunities to learn in a real world environment / situations.
  • On the job learning, from senior staff who are always willing to share their knowledge.

Ōu wheako –about you:

To be successful in gaining entry into the training course for this role you will ideally have:

  • A minimum of NCEA Level 2 in Maths
  • NCEA Leave 3 Calculus and Physics would be an advantage, but is not essential
  • A minimum of a restricted Drivers Licence

The attributes you will need to bring are:

  • A get up and go attitude with problem solving
  • A willingness and commitment to learn new things
  • The ability to work within a close team but can also work on your own

There will be block courses and training you are required to attend, so the flexibility to travel out of town to attend any training is required.
