Taitara Mahi - Aquatics, Sport and Recreation Maintenance and Purchasing Coordinator

Alongside FlaXrock Gym and the Hastings Sports Centre, in the Hastings District there are four Council-run indoor and outdoor pools, giving our community the opportunity to play, exercise, train and learn to swim.
To help us keep our facilities at a high standard, we are looking for a Maintenance and Purchasing Coordinator. This role will take a lead in cleaning operations and support management in the administration and monitoring of contracted works in the areas of pool plant and grounds maintenance.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with contractors to schedule works
- Organising and filing reports
- Stock management
- Assisting in maintenance tasks – including engineering, groundskeeping, and cleaning
- Leading the team of Splash Planet Ambassadors during the season to ensure the park is clean and well presented.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Be organised with strong administration and IT literacy
- Have familiarity with maintenance and gardening
- Be comfortable leading a team
- Be equally willing to be behind a desk administrating or getting your hands dirty performing maintenance tasks.
