Taitara Mahi - CCTV Operator
Permanent Part-time

We are looking for a CCTV Operator to join our team and help us make the Hastings, Flaxmere, Havelock North and wider Hastings district a safe and welcoming place to visit and enjoy. This role is responsible for actively monitoring our CCTV network, reporting any crime and anti-social behaviour, building and maintaining relationships with Police and our other partners, as well as abiding by relevant Privacy Act and policy requirements.  The position is a permanent part time position working a minimum 16 hours a week and does involve shift and weekend work.  The shift work includes Late Shifts and Night Shifts.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be a responsible and confident individual
• Have excellent computer skills (previous CCTV monitoring and recording experience would be valuable – but training will be provided)
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively 
• Be able to remain calm in conflict situations 
• Be able to work under minimal supervision and display sound judgment and tact
