Taitara Mahi - Public Spaces Landscape Manager

Hastings has nationally recognised parks and recreation facilities and a team that strives to provide quality public spaces for the community. We are looking for a motivated leader to join our Public Spaces & Building Assets team as Public Spaces Landscape Manager within the Waste, Parks and Cemeteries Group.
As Public Spaces Landscape Manager, you will coordinate and manage the design and delivery of the public open spaces renewal and capital upgrade programme provided by the Parks team. This role is responsible for landscape design of public open spaces, management and renewal of the tree and shrub assets and revegetation programme, and contract and budget management.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have extensive relevant experience, including leadership of complex landscape architecture projects.
- Have technical skills across construction techniques & documentation software.
- Be a skilled user of Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative-Suite - 3D modelling and rendering skills are desirable
- Have experience in community engagement and consultation processes.
- Have knowledge of land and building development processes and understanding of good urban design principles.
- Be confident and able to make timely decisions.
- Have strong relationship building skills, fostering positive working relationships with the community and colleagues.
