Taitara Mahi - Trade Waste Officer

As a Council, with the support of tangata whenua and our wider community, Hastings District Council are responsible for the management of three quite different but closely related water systems: drinking water, stormwater and wastewater (sewerage).
We are seeking a self-motivated, dedicated and detail-oriented Trade Waste Officer to join our team. This role is fundamental in ensuring compliance with trade waste approvals and protecting the integrity of the local network, and you will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting trade waste discharges from commercial and industrial customers.
