Taitara Mahi - Digital Projects Manager

Council’s Information Management and Business Transformation (IMBT) team is responsible for providing Digital Solutions and services across Council – including day to day operations, transformation, and leading the transition to a digital-first organisational ethos.
To lead the delivery of technology-based projects, we are on the lookout for a Digital Projects Manager. Through the lifecycle of projects, the Digital Projects Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the project activities, predicting, and requesting the resources needed, monitoring, and reporting on resource utilisation, managing the funds assigned to the project, assessing, and managing project risks and issues.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have proven experience managing technology projects using recognised methodologies.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of business analysis practices, including the activities and artefacts that support project initiation (hands-on experience highly desirable).
- Be an effective relationship builder with excellent communication skills, able to keep projects moving forward efficiently.
- Hold Prince2 or PMP certification (highly desirable but not essential).
- Bring previous Council or public sector experience (desirable but not essential).
- Take an innovative and proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
