The Hastings District Council Finance team is committed to delivering exceptional financial services across all parts of Council. We are looking for an individual who has proven experience working in Accounts Payable, who also has a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. You will have the ability to problem solve and have strong investigation skills.
You will be joining a supportive and diverse team where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your position and work closely with the wider finance operations team. You will be a strong communicator and have the ability to hit the ground running.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Accounts Payable – Invoice Processing
- Daily Reconciliations
- Direct Credits
- General Ledger Journals and Reconciliation
- Monthly Reports
- Accounts Payable Chart of Accounts
- Miscellaneous Accounting Duties
- Customer service and administration to the Finance Team

- Basic accounting skills
- High Level of Customer Service Skills
- Intermediate Excel and Word skills
- Reconciliation experience
- General office experience
