We’re on the hunt for experienced Project Managers to join our Infrastructure Group—people who are confident communicators and proven leaders in delivering multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. This is your chance to drive meaningful change, leading internal and external teams to deliver resilient, future-ready solutions.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering challenging projects on time and within budget. This is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone who thrives on ownership, leadership, and problem-solving.
You’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects across either:
- Transport – including bridges, structures, slip repairs, road rebuilds, and safety improvements
- 3 Waters – covering pipelines, treatment plants, reservoir upgrades, and pump stations
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage outcomes, risks, reporting, and stakeholder relationships. You’ll coordinate across multiple interfaces and lead a collaborative design and delivery approach to ensure our projects meet both technical and community needs.
Ōu wheako – about you
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold Bachelor level qualifications in Engineering or similar disciplines
- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant Civil Engineering experience.
- Local authority experience would be advantageous.
- Able to lead multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in managing challenging projects within 3 waters OR Transport environments
- Understand budgeting, compliance, and project delivery in a corporate setting
- Be a proactive leader who motivates others and builds strong internal and external working relationships
This role is part of Infrastructure Group. The Group includes 3 Waters, Transportation, a Delivery Office and a Professional Services Panel.
